Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are exquisitely painful knots in an already taut band of
muscle. They are sore to the touch, but when active will refer pain
elsewhere in the body. For example, headaches are often the result of active
trigger points in neck muscles.
In certain muscles, trigger points
can be the hidden cause of dizziness, nausea or even tearing of the eyes.
Toothache, when there is no obvious sign of decay, and unexplained jaw pain
may well be the result of trigger points.
Trigger Point Therapy uses
knowledge of predictable pain referral patterns to find and deactivate the
trigger points which are the sources of the pain.
